A PAUSE IN TIME

I’ve always been drawn to artworks that show the view through a window from inside a room. Often these are views from inside an artist’s home or studio.

I’m curious why these artworks are so common and for a lot of people they resonate so much.

My own reflection is that there is something very soothing about looking out at the world from the comfort and security of being in your own space inside.

I took these photos in October 2025 of a huge harvest moon through the living room window.
