Commission a Fragment Drawing

I’m offering a small number of bespoke commissions for a new series of drawings I call Fragments. These are small, detailed graphite works that I think of as visual haikus. Each one captures a cropped architectural detail chosen for its composition, texture, and the personal meaning it carries.

They will be the same format as my piece on show at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2025. Here are some images of that artwork.

Unlike a traditional house portrait, these cropped compositions are more curated and design-led. By focusing on a particular detail, such as a doorway, arch, or section of facade, the drawing becomes something more refined and timeless.

You can select a building that is meaningful to you, and then we can work together to identify a composition that works architecturally and aesthetically. The result is a piece that feels personal but also elegant — a subtle and elevated way to honour a place without it becoming literal or decorative.
